Dr. (Avv.) Alberto Russo - Italian Business Lawyer, International & E.U. Affairs Advisor, Mediator

Alberto Russo was born in 1978 at La Spezia (Italy), lives in the coastal town of Lerici (La Spezia) and for some years has been working in Liguria, Lombardy, Emilia and Northern Tuscany.
During the academic year 2003/2004 he graduated in Law - international specialization at the Catholic University of Milan with a degree in EC competition law, in the field of port services.
After that he attended the practice of law as legal trainee in a law firm of La Spezia focused on civil (family and real estate law), commercial (contracts and banckrupcy law) and EC law. From 2007 to 2012 has been enabled to temporary legal practice as Italian “Patrocinatore Legale”(Court of Appeal district of Genoa). The same year, according to his studies on EC law, he has successfully taken part at the internship program in the European Institutions, working professionally on some research projects within the Directorate of Audit Group II (Structural Funds, transport, energy and environment) of the European Court of Auditors in Luxembourg.
In 2008, back to Italy, Dr. Russo started a freelance legal advisory as well as a professional counseling experience on national and international commercial law (including e-commerce), on European Union law, on international private law and on international economics law-related matter, working with national law firms oriented to manage foreign customers or to be active in foreign markets and international realities.
At the same time, and in the path of constant specialization in international commercial, company and investment law, as well as in E.U. PCM, Dr. Russo attended some advanced education courses in "EU Project Cycle Management" at the IUSE in Turin and in "English for Law and International Transactions" at the University of Parma, as well as the seminar by EC law on antitrust and agri-food law, organized by the BAR Association of Parma (2008).
The following year (2009), gained awareness of the need for a multidisciplinary approach to the dynamics of the global marketplace, Dr. Russo awarded a master degreed in "International Relations Management" at ASERI - Catholic University in Milan, during which deepened in particular issues relating to the Euro-Mediterranean relations, energy and environmental policies and current developments in international trade.
As a result of this experience dr. Russo decided to focus its business process consulting for internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and to this end he attended executive courses on "markets and business opportunities: Mediterranean and Gulf" and "Arabic Language for the business," organized by NIBI (PROMOS) - Milan Chamber of Commerce (2011).
That same year, Dr.. Russia completes its profile as attorney (corporate and international) earning certification as Professional Civil Mediator (also expert in international matters) and registering with the Conciliation Body of the Chamber of Commerce of Genoa (either in Genoa and La Spezia sites), directing his own activity to the composition of the conflicts in matters of succession, real estate and business.
Since the beginning of 2012 Dr. Russo is part, as business & legal adviser, in projects of internationalization in China, in India, in the EU market, in the USA and in the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf markets. Since the beginning of 2012 dr. Russo is convolto, as business & legal adviser, in internationalization projects in China, India, in the EU market and within the Euro-Mediterranean partnership. From 2013 began a fruitful collaboration with a law firm of New Delhi (A.L.A.) and with his business & strategic management company (A.S.A.).
Having successfully passed the B.A.R. exam before the Court of Appeal of Genoa (Italy) on November 2013, since January 2014, mr. Russo has become an Italian Lawyer and has registered at the BAR association of La Spezia (Italy). Actually mr. Russo works as lawyer "of counsel" c/o the “Studio di Avvocati” in La Spezia. His main areas of practice are international private & business law (internationalization process, contracts and project management), E.U law (grant, PCM & legislation), commercial, competition and company law, IPRs, yachting & maritime law, new technologies law, tax and duties law, ADR and arbitration.
Language: Italian (mother-tongue) English (work proficiency - International Legal English Certificate in 2009) and French (very good level). Basic notion of Spanish and Arabic.
